Charity Fundraiser in aid of Children in Need
Raffle and donations raise over £330 for Children in Need.
As everyone knows November is the month where people around the country dig deep to raise funds for Children in Need. Since 1980 the BBC’s UK charity has raised over £600 million for disabled and young people in the UK and as charity fundraising is at the heart of CML’s company culture, we decided to hold a fundraising day on Friday 17th November to help support this worthwhile cause.
We held a raffle where £1 per ticket was charged and prizes ranging from a priority parking space for a year at the site of the winner as well as some £10 Love to Shop vouchers were up for grabs. Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket - the winner of the priority parking space was Taruna Patel and the winners of the vouchers were Chris Tuck, Tam Hassall and Lewis Vernon - congratulations to you all.
In addition to the raffle, members of the CML charity committee team collected donations from our colleagues to ensure as much money as possible was raised and we’re delighted to announce that an amazing £332.93 was raised on the day.
Karen Kelly, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work commented, “What a worthwhile charity Children in Need is; we are more than happy to help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people here in the UK.”
