A leading logistics specialist is looking to connect with a wider customer base after launching a bespoke logo embroidery and heat sealing department...
Core Management Logistics, based at Magna Park in Lutterworth, has seen increasing demand for its new in-house service since it was established to support its client PlayerLayer.
The sport performance brand manufactures premium and personalised technical sports apparel for schools, universities and sports teams. Thanks to CML’s dedicated embroidery department PlayerLayer has enjoyed an increased competitive edge and due to its success, CML is now looking to offer the service to more customers, particularly those within the schoolwear, workwear and sportswear markets.
The expanding department boasts two high-spec embroidery machines which are capable of 800 to 1,000 stitches per minute. As a result CML can handle anything from the very simple to the most complicated garment embroidery designs. The department, which has seen a total investment approaching £100,000, also benefits from a number of heat sealing machines which are able to transfer virtually any designs onto fabric.
Morgan Hay, Finance and Operations Director at PlayerLayer, commented, “Thanks to the launch of CML’s new department, PlayerLayer now has a single source for our personalisation and warehousing requirements. This has enabled our brand to deliver truly unique products whilst increasing our operational flexibility and reducing lead-times.”
The embroidery department can also be run in partnership with CML’s e-commerce department, which ensures a quicker more streamlined and simpler service for customers with everything carried out under one roof.
CML manages e-commerce requirements for approximately 50 per cent of its clients which include many popular retailers such as L.K.Bennett, MiH Jeans, fashion designer Markus Lupfer and new British womenswear brand Finery London, providing a tailored 24-hour fulfilment service to them. And thanks to its location at Magna Business Park, in Leicestershire, it’s in close proximity to the majority of parcel hubs, which ensures that if a customer orders through one of its client’s websites before 9pm it can process and deliver their purchases by 9am the next day.
Managing Director, Graham Copley, commented, “At CML we are continuing to expand to ensure that all our customers’ needs are met. We think it’s very important that we show flexibility and are able to enhance our offering to customers whatever their requirements and the launch of our logo and transfer department is testament to that.”
