Charity cake sale raises £600!
As part of CML’s tremendous charity work, we held a charity cake sale on Friday 30th September as part of the national Macmillan’s Coffee Morning.
Employees not only brought in cakes but also donned their aprons to create some delicious goodies for this worthwhile fundraising event, managing to raise a fantastic £600 in total.
One in three of us will face cancer at some point over our lives and these funds will help Macmillan make sure that no one has to face this battle on their own. At the time of writing this release, £2,223,617.57 had been raised in total which is an incredible amount!
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who donated cakes, baked cakes and got involved by buying cakes as part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
“Special thanks going to Karen Kelly, Pat Brittain and Joy Dolman at CML1 and Angela Crawford at CML2 for their help in running the cake sales, as we couldn’t have done this without them. We are extremely proud of the charity work we do here at CML as everyone enjoys getting involved!”
