Glass plaque etched in recognition of continuining support for Rainbows Hospice.
Over the past nine years CML has supported Rainbows Hospice with a number of charity fundraising events with the amount being raised reaching almost £40,000 for the Loughborough-based hospice.
The funds raised will help Rainbows Hospice to provide care and emotional support for terminally ill children and their families. Rainbows currently has to raise over £5 million a year to cover just their basic running costs. Their doors are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and their care team improves the quality of life for those who rely on this support. To put this into context, £100 could fund the Rainbows care team for an hour.
Five years ago Rainbows had a new therapy wing built and over the years people and companies have bought blocks to commemorate fundraising achievements or in celebration of someone’s life. One of the glass blocks will be etched for CML in recognition of its donation.
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving, said “CML has given such wonderful support to Rainbows over the years and we can’t thank them enough. Donations like this enable us to keep doing our amazing work, supporting those who need us the most.”
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work, added: “It has been great that CML has been able to provide a valuable contribution to the amazing work that Rainbows does. We look forward to continue supporting them in the future.”
