Turning Halloween tricks into a real treat
Pumpkin carving competition and cake sale raises over £88 for Rainbows Hospice.
What better excuse than Halloween to showcase the creative talents of our colleagues at CML. With a pumpkin and carving utensils the team rose to the challenge of our pumpkin carving competition, resulting in an array of impressive and original pumpkin designs that were brought in on Monday 31st October. With plenty of cakes, chocolates and drinks on sale to raise money for our charity of the year, Rainbows Hospice, the event was spookily good fun.
Our three pumpkin carving winners were; in third place came Jowita Wojtyra, second place Loredana Glodea and first place was awarded to Andzelina Gruza. Thank you to all who contributed to making our event a wicked success with £88.15 raised for our good cause, taking our grand total close to £40,000.
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work commented, “It was an excellent opportunity to see some of the other skills of our talented team, and hopefully next year even more people will get involved to raise even more funds for our good cause.”
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving, added, “The team from CML are always very creative with all of their fundraising and their pumpkin carving skills are a further example of the wonderful support that they have given Rainbows helping to raise this fantastic total amount.”
