Santa Fun Run raises an amazing £1440 for the Brain Research Trust.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and as our charitable work is incredibly important to us at CML, a number of our employees decided to spread some Christmas cheer and take part in the Santa Fun Run that takes place in Lutterworth every year. For CML all the money raised from sponsorship goes to the Brain Research Trust in memory of Gary Miles.
Gary was the IT Operations Manager for CML for over four years who sadly suffered from an unexpected brain haemorrhage earlier this year. Gary took an active role in the Santa Fun Run each year and CML wanted to complete this year’s event in honour of his memory. The Brain Research Trust charity was chosen by Gary’s family as it supports research into neurological conditions.
With the start of the week having torrential downpours the team kept their fingers crossed for a break in the clouds and the weather seemed to be on our side on Sunday 27th November. With plenty of jingle to keep the team warm as well as a lot of ho ho ho, everyone completed their chosen route and commented on how enjoyable the experience had been – definitely no bah humbugs in sight!
Thank you to everyone who took part as well as those who contributed as we managed to raise an amazing £1440 for this fantastic cause.
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work commented, “This event demonstrated again our commitment to living our values which are an essential part of how we do business at CML.”
