Christmas Jumper Day raises £1293 for Rainbows Hospice.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and what better excuse than the National Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16th December for our colleagues at CML to wear their fun-themed festive knits. With plenty of food and lucky dip bags also on sale to raise money for our nominated charity, Rainbows Hospice, the event was full of festive cheer.
In addition to all of the above, there was a Christmas raffle held on the day with prizes ranging from a Samsung Galaxy Tab, £100 worth of Love2shop vouchers and a camera to wine, biscuits and a food hamper to name just a few. These fantastic prizes were generously donated by Sky, Vacancy Filler, UKI Direct as well as our kind-hearted employees.
As it’s the season of giving it’s no wonder the day was such a huge success with £1293 raised for our good cause, taking our grand total to £41,397.70
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work commented, “‘It was a fantastic achievement for a very worthwhile cause. Thank you to Pat Brittain, Karen Kelly, Joy Dolman and Andzelina Gruza for their support on the day, as well as everyone that helped support the event behind the scenes. A great day was had by all.’
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving at Rainbows, added, “Everyone at Rainbows are just so grateful to the team at CML for working so hard throughout the year raising funds and this amazing raffle is a great finale to the years fundraising.”
