CML expands its global freight forwarding services with new jobs
Two brand new positions have been created by CML in order to grow its international freight forwarding services.
Core Management Logistics based in Lutterworth, has been providing air, ocean, road and rail freight forwarding services since 2008 to Asia, Europe and the Americas but is now keen to expand its import and export markets into South America and the Middle East.
In order to do this, CML has recruited two new starters in brand new positions; James Thorpe has joined the freight forwarding team as International Business Development Manager and Pat Treanor has taken on the role of Exports and Internal Sales Officer. CML has also employed Freight Forwarding consultant Antoine Petragallo, to support the expansion.
James, whose background has included various roles in warehouse management at Tesco, the Terex Group, Transport Logistics International and the Green Group International Ltd, will use his expertise to create a streamlined sales strategy to ensure that CML has the required infrastructure and relationships in place to allow for the introduction of new clients.
He commented, “I’m really enjoying working at CML and feel that the company’s ambitions really mirror my own. The senior management team have been incredibly helpful and I have been provided with all the support I need to help grow a successful freight forwarding business.”
Meanwhile, Pat is enjoying using his experience to work towards increasing the range of export services being provided by CML. He will also use his skills to build on the knowledge base available within the operations team as well as support more senior sales staff to target key clients and industries verticals .
Pat’s diverse career in warehousing, which began five years ago, has seen him spend the majority of his time at Transport Logistics International and the Green Group International Ltd, where most recently he ran the international exports department before moving into managing projects for UK operations.
He said, “My new position at CML has allowed me to move back into international freight while still utilising my experiences in operations and project work. There is a real opportunity at CML to not only support the healthy existing imports and warehousing sides of the business but also support and drive the development of the export and cross trade department and I am really enjoying the challenge so far.”
Graham Copley, Managing Director of CML, commented, “We’re thrilled to have James and Pat on-board and I’m certain that their wealth of experience and expertise will help drive CML forward, allowing us to take advantage of new opportunities, develop our knowledge and ultimately grow our freight forwarding business significantly.”
