As part of its ongoing commitment to support the local community, CML has announced that it has donated £400 to the Drug Watch Foundation (DWF).

The contribution from CML has enabled the foundation to donate 200 information packs to a local school, Lutterworth High School, which formed the basis of their workshops about the dangers, health and social implications of drug and alcohol abuse.

The workshops, which will be led by one of DWF’s Trustees, Brian Carroll, will also promote active lifestyles, positive behaviour and demonstrate how young people can build self-esteem amongst one another. Commenting on the support it has received from CML, Brian Carroll, Charity Trustee at Drug Watch Foundation, said:

“I can’t stress how important it is for young people to understand the dangers involved with drugs and alcohol. We are delighted that with CML’s support, we can speak to students from Lutterworth High School and raise awareness of the dangers of recreational drugs and alcohol abuse. On behalf of everyone at DWF, I would like to thank CML for their donation and we look forward to working with them in the future.”

CML’s Commercial Director, Kerry Delaney, said: “CML is committed to giving back to the local community, so when the opportunity arose to support the DWF and give students from Lutterworth High School the opportunity to learn about the dangers of recreational drugs and alcohol abuse, we were keen to get involved. Charity fundraising is an integral part of CML’s ethos, so we are proud to be supporting DWF and help it spread an important message that will educate young people and reduce anti-social behaviour in the community.”
