Core Management Logistics (CML) has recently appointed a new Commercial Manager as part of its continuing expansion plan, due to increasing sales growth.

Brian Richman will be overseeing the development of international freight sales and will be based at Magna Park in Lutterworth.

Brian brings with him a wealth of experience in the international freight forwarding business spanning over 37 years. He has worked in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and most recently Shanghai, where he worked in air and sea freight forwarding concentrating on the retail/apparel and FMCG industry.

The role will see Brian capitalising on his vast industry knowledge gained in key retail verticals via air and sea freight forwarding, which will further strengthen CML’s international logistics division.

He said: “I am joining CML at an exciting time in its development, as we bring together our dynamic overseas trade partners to meet the demands of retail importers.

“CML brings first class capabilities to the market whilst still being able to deliver a personalised and flexible approach to end to end supply chain logistics.”

CML’s Managing Director, Mark Webb, added: “We are delighted to welcome Brian to CML. The breadth and depth of his experience will be a vital asset to us as we expand and improve our freight forwarding offering.

“CML has an impressive track record in freight forwarding, having worked with M&S, Antler, Head Sports, Finery, Terex and many other big names in retail. We take a customer-focused approach to freight forwarding, and our ability to offer a single point of contact with a tailored end-to-end supply chain package is an area in which we have forged a strong reputation.

“We’ve been offering air freight services for 11 years now and with Brian on board to complement the current staff structure, we are confident we have the right team in place to take these services forward and expand on them.”

CML’s international freight services provide customers with a variety of export and import solutions. Its extensive worldwide network enables it to transport goods directly from overseas suppliers to their global customers, cutting out both the expense and the hassle.
