‘Egg-cellent’ Fundraising for Charity
Easter raffle raises £550 for Rainbows Hospice.
As charity fundraising is an integral part of CML’s company ethos, what better excuse than Good Friday to raise funds for our nominated charity, Rainbows Children’s Hospice. As we didn’t want to put all of our eggs in one basket, we decided to start the day off with some hot food on sale to raise money and then an Easter raffle was held.
With prizes ranging from an Easter basket, Easter egg hunt and toiletry hamper to a saucepan set and some wine all generously donated by our kind-hearted CML colleagues as well as funds from the CML charity pot, the day was a huge success with £550.70 raised for our good cause, taking our grand total to a fantastic £42,308.40.
Karen Kelly, who organised the Easter event, commented, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, both in organising and contributing on the day, as Rainbows is a charity we all feel passionate about. We are proud to give our time to help make a difference by supporting the hospice.”
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving at Rainbows, added, “All of the staff at CML are always very generous and work so hard raising funds for Rainbows; we really are so grateful for their continued support.”
