The importance of being connected in the freight industry
Antoine Petragallo, a Consultant for CML, discusses how essential a large network of partners is to operating international logistics.
As international freight forwarders, Core Management Logistics (CML) knows that having a large network of partners across the world is the key to giving clients the best service.
Our global network of agents and shipping lines allow us to provide the best overall service between different international freight hubs. CML recognises that our high calibre partners are the key component to the network and we are constantly working to strengthen these relationships. Our service partners are thoroughly vetted and are required to meet our service and financial standards in order to work with us.
Whilst CML has successfully demonstrated our ability to operate international logistics routes within our established regions, expanding such routes into new regions presents its own challenges. Understanding the local requirements and customs laws is essential to fully utilising new routes. Therefore we are focussed on continuing to grow a network of credible global freight partners to cover all major ports and gateways, capable of handling multimodal traffic to and from any worldwide point.
CML prides itself on a 'hands-on' approach to international freight forwarding which means we are in regular communication with our agents, carriers and clients to manage and support each party. Over the last three years we have invested more than £1 million on a central I.T system (Cargowise) to provide clients and partners with access to live 24/7 information.
By investing in and advancing our network, we operate with a value which is normally associated with larger Non Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs).
