Spreading Some Christmas Cheer!
Christmas Jumper Day and raffle raises £952 for Rainbows Hospice.
Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to celebrate than with the National Christmas Jumper Day that was held on Friday 15th December where everyone at CML wore their yuletide jumpers and donated £1 to charity. All funds raised going to our nominated charity, Rainbows Hospice.
In addition to the above, there was a Christmas raffle held on the day with prizes ranging from a 42” TV, a Samsung Tablet, £100 worth of John Lewis vouchers, two lots of £50 worth of Amazon vouchers, £50 worth of M&S vouchers, a case of French wine, a
bottle of Champagne, 2 lots of a day’s annual leave, an iPad Mini, a
camera, a bottle of Cava, a toiletry hamper and some mystery prizes.
These fantastic prizes were all generously donated by, in consecutive order, Mach Recruitment, Skye Direct, Freeths LLP, Perkbox, Sharp Business Systems, Logistical Planning and Design, Total Motion as well as CML.
We’re delighted to say that everyone got into the festive spirit and, as there was a lot of jingle and joy on the day, it was a huge success with £952 raised for our good cause, taking our grand total raised to £43,215.90.
Letisha Harbidge, who is part of the team that oversees CML’s charitable work commented, “We managed to secure lots of great prizes for our Christmas raffle, which were kindly donated by some of the partners that we work with. This helped us to generate lots of interest and raise even more money to support Rainbows and the work that they do. We are grateful to all our colleagues that contributed on the day by wearing their Christmas jumpers and purchasing raffle tickets.”
Kate Golding, Head of Organisational Giving at Rainbows, added, “Celebrating the National Christmas Jumper Day is such a great, fun way of ending the year on a high! The team at CML have been amazing and always work so hard to fundraise for Rainbows. It’s great to see that so many of the team joined in the Christmas spirit; their kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.”
