HMRC authorised Customs Warehousing and CFSP
A highly experienced team and class leading software to offer duty management benefits.
CML has been authorised by HMRC as a public customs warehouse (formerly Type-A) for nearly twenty years. Our systems and authorisations allow our customers to deposit goods and defer payment of import duties and taxes until the goods are removed from our warehouses. In some cases, duty and VAT payments in the UK can be avoided completely. Over this twenty year period, many imports and retailers have taken advantage of this service with over £200M GBP worth of goods passing through under bond, deferring or negating over £43M in duty and VAT payments.
Alongside our customs warehouse status, CML holds authorisations for several simplifications (Customs Freight Simplified Procedures). These include Common Storage (CS) and Entry In Declarant's Records (EIDR) which allow us to declare your goods removal from our warehouse in the most duty efficient way, making the best use of stock held in free-circulation and under the bonded regime.
CML’s Customs Warehouse (CW) and Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP) authorisations are audited regularly by HMRC for compliance and our software is updated as required to capture any changes made in regulations and tariff codes or duty rates. This ensures that our customers can be confident that their goods and customs formalities are being handled correctly.
The complexities of duty management, customs warehousing, and international trade mean that there is rarely a “one size fits all” solution to duty management. Please contact the freight team to find out how CML could help you make the most of your cashflow.
